Faxe municipality has 16 primary schools, which in the spring of 2022 all implemented SKYEN and the Luftens Helte kit. All to improve the indoor climate and give the students an understanding of why a good indoor climate is important. Read here how it went.
The situation:
Faxe Municipality has many older schools with previous challenges on the indoor climate front. The municipality had long had a vision of giving their students the best possible conditions.
With Mikkel Dam at the helm, the city council chose during the budget negotiations for the 2022 budget year to set aside money to improve the schools' indoor climate.
Before the budget negotiations, Mikkel Dam became aware of the study carried out by SKYEN, made in collaboration with Implement Consulting Group, with support from Realdania.
"We came across SKYEN, which is a very exciting and innovative product, and it would be a fun product to bring into our municipality." - Mikkel Dam.
The solution:
The city council invested in SKYEN as they saw it as a low-hanging fruit that could help create the best learning environment for students. In addition, Faxe Municipality has also implemented the "Heroes of the Air" scheme, which aims to help students understand the importance of indoor climate through teaching and a blanket scheme. According to Mikkel, it makes good sense, as it has been documented that the Luftens Helte kit gives students a feeling that they are the focal point. The kit helps students understand the CLOUD and indoor climate, as well as how they jointly take responsibility for each other's health.
"We came across SKYEN, which is a very exciting and innovative product, and it would be a fun product to bring into our municipality." - Mikkel Dam.
The result:
"To that extent, I can forward a recommendation from Faxe municipality. Now we expect to see a lot of results, and when we have seen those results, a thumbs up has been given to everyone else as well. It almost sounds too good to be true when you hear about the CLOUD. It's smart, and it's a good technology, and I'm therefore sure that we're going to profit very well from having bought SKYER" - That's how it sounds from Mikkel Dam, chairman of Children and Learning in Faxe municipality, when he talks about OPEN and THE CLOUD.
Faxe municipality naturally expects to see good results and a marked improvement in the indoor climate of primary schools. In addition, they believe and hope that the students' level of concentration will increase, and that there will be a clear improvement in the students' learning.
