At ÅBN, we understand how important a healthy indoor climate is for well-being, learning and efficiency. Our mission is to create clear and measurable improvements in the indoor climate – while giving you the necessary insight to take action. Read more about our vision and history with us.
With our testing process, you not only get a status report on your current indoor climate conditions, but also an evaluation of how simple behavioral changes can make a difference. We provide the data and documentation you need to optimize your buildings, reduce energy consumption and create better conditions for the users – whether they are students, teachers or employees.

What does the testing process include?
The test process is designed to give you a clear and documented before-and-after picture of your indoor climate. The process is divided into three phases:
Phase 1: Baseline measurement (1/3 of the period)
In the first phase, we document your current indoor climate conditions. Using our SKYEN IoT sensors, we measure six important parameters:
- CO₂
- Temperature
- Humidity
- Noise
- TVOC (volatile organic compounds)
- Light level
These measurements provide an accurate picture of your buildings' indoor climate and show how it affects users' well-being and working environment. The baseline report forms the basis for future improvements.
Phase 2: Impact measurement and behavioral implementation (1/3 of the period)
Once the baseline measurement is complete, we will introduce a number of behavioral changes that will help you improve your indoor climate – without major investments in new equipment. This includes:
- Workshops and onboarding for teachers, leaders and staff. See our setup guide for an overview of how we implement the solution.
- Student council ambassador program for schools where students actively take responsibility for daily ventilation and indoor climate improvement.
- Tailored learning materials that engage users – for more inspiration, check out our learning materials
In this phase, we measure the effect of the implemented behavioral changes and document, among other things:
- The reduction in time with high CO₂ levels (e.g. above 1,000 ppm).
- Improvements in parameters such as temperature and humidity.
- User experience of the improvements.
Phase 3: Reporting and evaluation (1/3 of the period)
Finally, we collect data from the entire testing period and prepare two comprehensive reports:
- Baseline report: Documentation of your indoor climate conditions before behavioral changes.
- Impact report: A detailed review of how the behavioral changes have improved the indoor climate.
The reports give you concrete recommendations for further optimization and show the potential for scaling the solution to other buildings. This phase is rounded off with a presentation of the results and an evaluation of the process in close collaboration with you.

Why choose ÅBN's test course?
Documentation of status and effect
With the test process you get a unique combination of two reports:
- A baseline report that maps your current challenges.
- An impact report that documents how behavioral changes have created measurable improvements
This documentation not only gives you insight into your indoor climate, but also a strong reference for future decisions.
Engage users
Behavioral changes are only effective if they become a natural part of everyday life. That's why we focus on engaging teachers, students or employees in the process. Our educational materials and ambassador programs make it easy and motivating to take responsibility for the indoor climate.
Energy savings and long-term improvements
By changing behavior and optimizing the use of existing systems, you can reduce energy consumption and improve the indoor climate without major investments. The test process gives you concrete recommendations on how to achieve both financial and environmental benefits.
Flexible and scalable
The testing process is designed to be flexible and can be customized to your specific needs. It can be scaled to multiple buildings if you want to implement the solution across your organization.
Why choose ÅBN's test course?
Documentation of status and effect
With the test process, you will receive two key reports that both map your current challenges and document how targeted behavioral changes create measurable improvements. This documentation forms a solid foundation for future decisions about indoor climate optimization.
Engage users
Behavioral changes are only effective if they become a natural part of everyday life. That's why we focus on engaging everyone – from teachers and students to employees. Our educational materials and ambassador programs make it easy and motivating to take responsibility for the indoor climate. Read more about how we engage users on our blog .
Energy savings and long-term improvements
By optimizing the use of existing systems and changing behavior, you can reduce energy consumption and at the same time improve the indoor climate. The test process gives you concrete recommendations for both economic and environmental gains.
Flexible and scalable
The test process is designed to be adaptable to your specific needs and can be expanded to multiple buildings – if you want to implement the solution across your organization.
Example: Results from previous testing sessions
A school that participated in our testing program achieved, among other things, the following:
- Reducing CO₂ levels above 1,000 ppm by 50%.
- Elimination of CO₂ levels above 2,000 ppm.
- Improved user satisfaction with the indoor climate among both teachers and students.
- Identification of energy saving potential of 15% through optimized ventilation.
How does it work in practice?
When you choose to participate in the testing process, we take care of everything from start to finish:
-
Installation
We deliver and install our SKYEN IoT sensors in the selected buildings. The sensors are easily mounted with double-sided tape and do not require advanced setup. See our setup guide for more details. -
Onboarding
Your contacts will receive a thorough introduction to the process, and we ensure that all users are prepared to participate. If you have any questions, you can always find answers in our Help center . -
Ongoing support
Throughout the test period, you will have access to a dedicated project manager from ÅBN who is ready to provide support and answer questions. This is part of our focus on engaging all users. -
Reporting and presentation
We conclude the process with a presentation of the results and discuss the possibilities for further optimization.
Who can participate in the testing process?
The test course is ideal for:
- Municipalities that want insight into the indoor climate of schools or other public buildings.
- Schools that will improve student well-being and the learning environment.
- Companies that want to optimize the indoor climate for their employees.
